Present tense first

Encyclopedia order is past → present. That is fine when the job is history.

It is a bad default when the job is a briefing. The reader already needed the current state. The origin story can wait.

EmberDossier flips the stack. Snapshot and recent activity come first. Background stays short unless it explains the present. The last section is not a flourish. It is a list of sharper follow-ups.

Ask for Northwind Analytics or Project Lantern and you should get the same skeleton. That is the point. The subject changes. The order does not.
